The living room
Léa Lacroix lives and works in Montréal, Canada. She completed a certificate in Art at UQAM and finished her degree in Visual Arts, majoring in Photography, at Concodia in 2014. She was primarily interested in video and short films before beginning to work in photography. Today these two mediums, often placed in dialogue, are her point of departure for her explorations.
The Living Room is an immersive video installation that plunges the spectator into a dark dimension of human emotions. The viewers are invited to penetrate a work in which they bear witness to an intimate moment: observing people crying. The installation breathes in the rhythm of the black screens and breathes out in sobs.
