Artist's biography

Isabelle Hayeur obtained a Bachelor's and a Master?s degree in Fine Arts from the UQAM. She is best known for her large-size photomontages, videos and site-specific installations.

Project statement

Hayeur's work over the past few years has focused on issues related to landscape design and architecture. The artist has been investigating ways in which we use and occupy space, trying to gain deeper understanding of the landscape issue in order to comprehend our societies? relation to its environment. Their scenario representations show awareness; their interpretations and spatial compositions bring us new visions of the world and of ourselves. It is also important that we are aware of the landscapes we create and of the world we imagine.
